PROFESSIONAL BIO
Steeped in media and marketing across over 20 sectors. Founded, developed and managed small businesses and sold to listed media companies. Served on the boards of Primedia (ED), Sasani (CEO) and Moneyweb (NED), plus non-listed subsidiaries (re-structuring, developing strategies, merging, closing, diversifying, and in some cases launching and developing startups).Conducted/assisted with turnarounds at the board and executive level. Invested in small start-ups, guided their development as a non-exec director, ultimately selling my stake back to the original entrepreneurs. Consulted to business on communication, media, marketing and sales. Launched over 30 magazine and online platforms, plus Women in the Media and the MOST Awards. Served on the boards of GALA, National Film and Video Foundation and Pro Bono .org. Judged numerous awards and served on countless committees.
